Commonwealth ranked among Houston’s top energy engineering firms

HOUSTON, TX (March 21, 2007) – Commonwealth Engineering and Construction, LLC of Houston has been named as the youngest member of the Houston Business Journal’s list of the top 25 Houston-Area Engineering Firms.  In just its fourth year of operations, Commonwealth joins a list of 24 other firms averaging 32 years in business as leaders in 2006 local gross billings.

“We’re happy that others are now recognizing our rapid growth,” said Commonwealth President and CEO Paul Varello.  “I’m proud of the high caliber team we have been able to assemble,” he added.  “Being the youngest company on this list validates how far we’ve come in a short time.”

Commonwealth was founded by Varello on the premise of a strong employee-oriented culture as suggested in the choice of the company name.  After recruiting a number of key industry veterans, Commonwealth is now using that seasoned talent to mentor their next generation of engineers to sustain the company’s success.  Currently, Commonwealth is on pace for more than 50 percent growth in staff and revenues over the outstanding 2006 performance.
